The 16th National Annual Conference on Marine Drugs
"Blue Pharmacy" refers to medicinal resources nurtured in the ocean. The development and utilization of marine medicinal resources, the investigation and discovery of marine drugs and biological products have increasingly played a prominent role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of the marine industry, enhancing marine scientific and technological innovation, occupying strategic heights in the marine economy, and building a maritime power. Accelerating the high-quality development of the "Blue Pharmacy" is our shared dream. The Zhejiang Province has abundant marine resources and superior strategic location. The "14th Five-Year Plan" for the development of Zhejiang's marine economy proposes to focus on marine life and health, strengthen the status of Hangzhou as a leading center for life and health innovation, develop gathering areas for high-end medical equipment, instruments, and health care services, and form a science and technology innovation ecosystem for the biomedical industry.
After full deliberation, "The 16th Annual Conference on Marine Drugs", sponsored by the Marine Drugs Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province from 10th to 12th November 2023. The conference will invite a group of well-known scholars from home and abroad to attend the event and give invited reports or conference reports on the research trends and latest achievements in related fields such as marine medicinal biological resource research, new technologies and methods for the research of marine natural products, biosynthesis and chemical synthesis research of marine drug leading compounds, marine candidate drugs and novel drug research, and marine biological functional products. At the same time, the "Young Scholars Forum on Marine Drugs " will be set up to promote academic exchanges and thinking collision among young scholars in the field of marine drugs, create opportunities for cooperation, and promote interdisciplinary integration.
