Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly
interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the
most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Machines 2023 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Khandaker Noman.
Dr. Khandaker Noman is an Associate Professor of the School of Civil Aviation, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China. Dr. Noman’s main research focus is on entropy theory, condition monitoring and fault diagnosis, mechanical signal analysis and processing, remaining useful life prediction model, and intelligent fault diagnosis.
Dr. Noman received his PhD in 2021 and has an outstanding publication record, with a total of 20 scientific journal articles published, among which he is the first/corresponding author of 9, and 13 are published in the top journals listed by Chinese Academy of Sciences in the last 5 years. So far, he has delivered five invited reports at different international academic conferences. He also managed five major projects including projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Ministry of Science and Technology of China, etc. This is an outstanding achievement in today’s competitive environment. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Noman on his outstanding achievements.
As the awardee, Dr. Noman will receive an honorarium of CHF 1500, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before the end of 2024 in Machines after peer-review, and an electronic certificate.
