Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Italy boasts a long tradition in mycological research, a scientific field that studies fungi in all their contributions to global health or disease. This special issue of the Journal of Fungi is dedicated to fungal research in Italy, highlighting the actual significant contributions of Italian researchers and laboratory scientists in basic, clinical, or diagnostic studies to combat fungal diseases. The aim of this issue is to provide a comprehensive overview of the most recent and innovative research, promoting dialogue and collaboration among scientists, clinicians, and researchers. The published articles will explore a broad range of medical mycology topics, including advanced diagnostic techniques and new therapies for fungal infections.
We invite all Italian researchers engaged in this field to contribute with their articles, to create an issue that reflects the vitality and diversity of fungal research in Italy.
