Dear Colleagues,
Fluid/flow–structure interactions are fundamental phenomena in marine science and engineering, governing the hydrodynamic performance, structural integrity, operational safety, and energy efficiency of ships, offshore structures, coastal infrastructure, and marine renewable energy systems. As computational capabilities, numerical methods, and experimental techniques continue to advance, researchers are gaining unprecedented opportunities to investigate increasingly complex coupled fluid–structure phenomena under realistic environmental and operational conditions.
This Special Issue aims to present recent advances in the analysis, modeling, simulation, and experimental investigation of fluid/flow–structure interaction in marine and offshore engineering. Original research articles and review papers are welcome, covering theoretical developments, numerical methods, experimental studies, and industrial applications. Particular emphasis will be placed on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), fluid/flow–structure interaction (FSI), wave–structure interaction, hydroelasticity, free-surface and multiphase flows, flow–induced vibration, and coupled multiphysics simulations. Contributions incorporating artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and other data-driven approaches to improve numerical modeling, computational efficiency, and engineering design are also encouraged.

- Wave–structure interaction and marine hydrodynamics;

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
