MDPI Open Access—Academic Publishing Workshop with the University of Oviedo, 10 December 2025
We are excited to announce that MDPI will host an Open Access—Academic Publishing Workshop at the University of Oviedo.

This interactive workshop will provide insights into key aspects of scholarly publishing, including:
- An introduction to MDPI and our journals;
- The MDPI editorial process;
- Practical tips for scientific writing.
Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about publishing with MDPI journals, including JMSE. This session is designed for researchers at all career stages and promises to be both informative and practical.

Speakers:
Marina Savić holds a master’s degree from the University of Belgrade. She began her career with MDPI in 2020 as part of the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (JMSE) team. In 2021, she advanced to the position of Section Managing Editor, and in 2022, she was appointed as a Journal Relations Specialist for JMSE, where she continues to contribute to the journal’s development and collaboration initiatives.
Caral Zhou holds a master’s degree from the University of Barcelona. She began her career at MDPI in 2023, working with the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (IJMS) and the Journal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology (JFMK). In 2024, she advanced to the position of Section Managing Editor, and in 2025, she was appointed Journal Relations Specialist for JFMK, where she continues to contribute the journal’s development and collaboration initiatives.
