Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature
Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for
future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive
positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world.
Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly
interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the
most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
As the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Clinical Medicine, I am pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 Travel Award sponsored by our journal.
Emma Rheel, a Ph.D. student at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Medical campus Jette, Brussels, Belgium, carries out research on pain related disorders.
Miriam Krieger, a Ph.D. student at the Department of Physics, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, carries out research on proton therapy.
From the applications received, it is obvious that there was a large pool of highly qualified candidates that deserve this award. Given the fact that only two winners were available, it was not a simple task to select the winners this year. In the election process, an experienced committee closely examined the applicants’ submitted documents, and ranked them based on strong research productivity and performance merit. From the outcome of this exercise, the winners obtained relatively higher scores.
Please join me in congratulating the winners for a well-deserved prize (800 Swiss Francs for each).
