Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In a world where there is so much pressure for employees to be productive in the workplace, workplace wellness is sometimes relegated to the background. Nonetheless, mentally healthy workplaces actually impact positively on productivity, bottom-line and output in the medium to long term. The issue of workplace wellness has also been dramatically affected by COVID-19 due to a variety of adjustments to work type, work schedule, and location. This suggests that workplace health will be a major and growing concern going into the future. This issue will focus on research that investigates enablers and barriers to good health in the workplace. It will seek to accumulate evidence and provide direction on ways of preventing burnout, sustaining motivation in the workplace, and ensuring optimal physical and mental health of workers in a variety of professional situations.

Specifically, we are inviting researchers to submit articles related to the following: factors necessary for a healthy workplace, staying healthy in a remote work location, chronic diseases and workplace, remedies for workplace burnout, inclusion/diversity and workplace health, mental health and the workplace, and the use of technology to improve workplace health and wellbeing.
