Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Impacts on mental health post-pandemic still weigh heavily on already vulnerable individuals suffering from mental health conditions, further affected by the ongoing Eastern European armed conflict. The consequent economic recession following the last three years is associated with amplified distress affecting the entire general population, which should be countered by effective health policies, meant not only to alleviate but also prevent impairment of the quality of life of the general population.

We would like to invite you to contribute to our Special Issue, which aims to provide a panoramic perspective of current health policies towards improved patient-related outcomes for the treatment and prevention of the progression of addictive, anxious, and cognitive disorders, alongside somatic diseases that share the same concurrent psychiatric symptoms, in both child and adult populations. The ultimate goal is to find ways to improve patients’ quality of life through transdisciplinary collaboration and the use of new technology (such as virtual reality, telemedicine, and remote patient triage) and implement novel treatments through health policies that target or improve current protocols regarding the management of these disorders in an economically feasible manner.
