Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Dementia is one of the biggest public health challenges in the world. A recent study suggests that the number of people with dementia will exceed 150 million cases by the year 2050. Although Alzheimer disease is the most common form of dementia, other conditions, such as Parkinson disease, Lewy body disease, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, vascular ischemia, frontotemporal disorders, and alcohol syndromes, may cause dementia.

In view of this, studies are necessary to provide a comprehensive update on the treatment of dementia. We propose this Special Issue in an effort to better understand the impact of dementia on subjects’ life, and to improve treatments and health policies.

Manuscripts involving all fields of knowledge are welcome.
