Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Since the time of industrial civilization, massive material wealth has been created by mankind in the process of making full use of as well as transforming nature. However, this has come at the cost of the intensified exploitation of natural resources, which disrupted the balance in the Earth’s ecosystem and laid bare the growing tensions in the human–nature relationship. Ecological problems, such as forest loss, wetland degradation, biodiversity decline, and soil erosion, have attracted the general attention of governments, scientific researchers, and people from around the world. Land consolidation and ecological restoration are committed to the optimization of territorial space, the improvement of ecological functions, the protection and utilization of natural resources and the environment, and the coordination of human–land relationships. It is beneficial to increase the quantity of cultivated land, improve ecosystem structures, and enhance the functions of ecosystem services.
In the past decade or so, a solid evidence base, focused on land consolidation and ecological restoration, has accumulated, including theoretical bases, technical support, and management systems. In order to better meet the needs of different regions, various ecological concerns, diversified policymakers, more advanced and scientific land consolidation, and ecological restoration should be implemented. Thus, it is necessary to conduct extensive research in both social and natural disciplines.
This Special Issue of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH) focuses on the advances in land consolidation and ecological restoration. New research papers, reviews, and case reports are welcome to this Special Issue. We will accept manuscripts from different disciplines with high academic standards, including land consolidation, high-standard farmland construction, ecological restoration, soil remediation, water environmental restoration, plant remediation, soil erosion control, ecological and environmental management, and other research related to land consolidation as well as ecological restoration.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2500 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
