Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) is a cornerstone of human well-being, profoundly impacting individuals, families, and communities globally. Despite its importance, SRH remains challenging due to persistent inequities, emerging health threats, and evolving societal norms.
This Special Issue aims to address these challenges through innovative, multidisciplinary research that embraces intersectionality. We welcome original research and reviews that humanize SRH across the lifespan and diverse contexts, recognizing how multiple social identities and systems of oppression intersect to shape SRH experiences and outcomes. We welcome original research and reviews that humanize SRH across the lifespan and in various contexts. Key topics include the following:
- Childhood and adolescence sexual health;
- Sexual health in the elderly;
- Marginalized populations’ sexual health;
- Maternal and child health;
- Family planning and contraception;
- STI prevention and management;
- LGBTQIA+ health and rights;
- Gender-based violence;
- Humanization in healthcare;
- Digital health innovations;
- Sexual education.
We encourage submissions that provide actionable insights, particularly focusing on underexplored areas or marginalized populations. This special issue emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in tackling SRH challenges. By integrating perspectives from public health, clinical practice, social sciences, technology, and policy-making, we aim to foster intersectional solutions that address both individual needs and systemic barriers.
