Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to the Special Issue “Patient Satisfaction and Quality of Health Services in Primary Care”. Primary care is the first point of contact with health systems and is central to prevention, chronic disease management and continuity of care. As health systems face rising patient expectations, workforce pressures, digital transformation and the need for equitable access, research on satisfaction and service quality is timely and essential.

This Special Issue aims to advance evidence on how patient experiences, expectations and perceptions can inform the assessment and improvement of primary healthcare services. It focuses on quality, accessibility, safety, efficiency, continuity and patient-centered care in primary care settings, in line with Healthcare’s scope.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Patient satisfaction and patient experience;
  • Quality assessment and improvement;
  • Access, equity and continuity of care;
  • Patient–provider communication and trust;
  • Digital health, telemedicine and innovation;
  • Healthcare management and policy interventions.

Both original research articles and review papers are welcome.

We would also appreciate your indication of interest in contributing a manuscript, along with a tentative title or topic.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
