Digital Health Technologies encompass a wide range of digital tools in healthcare, aiming to improve healthcare delivery, accessibility, efficiency, and outcomes. The digital transformation in healthcare also has the potential to reduce medical errors and enhance patient safety. It spans across several important topics, from health informatics and electronic health records to innovative devices and applications, such as remote monitoring, telemedicine, virtual care, mobile health applications, and wearable devices. It also supports personalized care practices for each individual patient. The section is devoted to the integration of these advances into healthcare in the digital age, as well as challenges relating to data security, regulation, and equitable access.
