Welcome to the VII Ibero-American Congress of Neuropsychology and the V Colombian Congress of Neuropsychology

It is an honor to extend our warmest welcome to the VII Ibero-American Congress of Neuropsychology and the V Colombian Congress of Neuropsychology, a joint meeting that represents a milestone in the growth and consolidation of neuropsychology in our region. This event, one of the most significant in the Ibero-American field, will take place in the historic Caribbean city of Cartagena, Colombia, and will be hosted by the Technological University of Bolívar on September 23, 24, and 25, 2026.
The tradition and strength of both congresses have enabled the creation, over the years, of a vibrant scientific community that transcends borders, integrates disciplines, and promotes the development of neuropsychology from an intercultural and multidimensional perspective. Previous editions have brought together thousands of professionals, researchers, students, and experts from different countries, establishing these congresses as privileged spaces for the dissemination of knowledge, professional development, and the creation of collaborative networks that enrich the advancement of our discipline.
This joint meeting is of special importance for the future of Ibero-American neuropsychology. In a global context where clinical, technological, and social challenges are becoming increasingly complex, scientific cooperation among countries in our region is essential. These congresses serve as a platform to promote new lines of research, encourage dialogue among diverse academic traditions, foster innovation in clinical assessment and cognitive rehabilitation, and strengthen the training of highly qualified professionals. The union of both events represents a decisive step toward integrating efforts that enhance the advancement of neuropsychology in Ibero-America and strengthen its position within the international scientific landscape.
