Best Paper Award

The Genealogy Best Paper Award is granted annually to highlight publications of high quality, scientific significance, and extensive influence. The winning articles were published in 2023 and evaluated based on comprehensive metrics used throughout 2024. The winners will be announced in 2025.

Two articles will receive the award. The articles have been chosen by the evaluation committee, which consists of three Editorial Board Members of Genealogy.

The award consists of two prizes:

– First prize: The winners receive 500 CHF and a chance to publish a paper free of charge after peer review in Genealogy before the end of 2025;

– Second prize: The winners receive 300 CHF and a chance to publish a paper free of charge after peer review in Genealogy before the end of 2025.

Eligibility and Requirements:

– All papers published in Genealogy will be eligible (both regular and Special Issue submissions).

Selection Criteria:

– Scientific merit and broad impact;
– Originality of the research objectives and/or the ideas presented;
– Creativity of the study design or uniqueness of the approaches and concepts;
– Clarity of presentation;
– Citations and downloads.
