Drones | New Section “Artificial Intelligence in Drones (AID)” Established


The Drones (ISSN: 2504-446X) editorial team is pleased to announce the launch of a new Section “Artificial Intelligence in Drones (AID)".

The Section focuses on cutting-edge research and advancements at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and drone technology, with a specific emphasis on UAV swarm intelligence, intelligent collaborative control, intelligent decision-making and planning, and intelligent perception and cognition. This Section welcomes high-quality submissions presenting original research, innovative methodologies, and comprehensive reviews that explore the role of AI in enhancing drone operations, control systems, and applications in these key areas.

Key topics within the scope of this Section include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • UAV swarm intelligence and multi-agent systems for drone coordination and cooperation;
  • Intelligent collaborative control techniques for enhanced drone autonomy and performance;
  • Advanced AI algorithms and machine learning techniques for drone navigation, control, and decision-making in complex environments;
  • Intelligent decision-making and planning approaches for drone path planning, obstacle avoidance, and mission execution;
  • Innovative deep learning and computer vision methods for intelligent perception and cognition in drone systems;
  • Applications of AI-powered drones in various domains, emphasizing the integration of swarm intelligence, intelligent control, and cognitive capabilities.
