Dear Colleagues,
Magnetic composites have emerged as a promising platform for environmental remediation due to their tunable composition, strong interaction with contaminants, and convenient magnetic separation after treatment. This Special Issue of Catalysts will highlight recent advances in designing and optimizing magnetic catalytic and adsorptive materials, including core–shell and nano-/micro-structured magnetic composites, for the removal and transformation of pollutants in water and soil. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) magnetic catalysts for advanced oxidation processes, photocatalytic/photothermal systems, catalytic ozonation and Fenton-like reactions, and magnetically driven adsorption and ion exchange. Special attention will be given to strategies that enhance performance and durability, such as surface functionalization, heterojunction construction, defect engineering, and integration with porous supports. We welcome contributions on synthesis methods, characterization and mechanistic studies, reactor design and scale-up, regeneration and reusability, and magnetically assisted recovery. Papers addressing real-world relevance, targets like dyes, heavy metals, emerging organic contaminants, and pathogens, are especially encouraged. The Special Issue aims to provide a focused forum for researchers developing effective, recoverable, and sustainable magnetic composite technologies for environmental cleanup.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Catalysts is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
