Dear Colleagues,
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are transforming precision medicine by enabling data-driven approaches for disease prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, and personalized treatment. Recent advances in deep learning, foundation models, multimodal learning, and explainable AI have significantly improved the ability to analyze complex biomedical data, including medical images, physiological signals, electronic health records, and multi-omics data. These technologies are increasingly supporting clinicians in making more accurate, timely, and individualized clinical decisions.
This Special Issue aims to bring together researchers developing innovative AI and ML methods for precision medicine, emphasizing clinically applicable, explainable and trustworthy solutions. We invite original research articles, reviews addressing innovative computational approaches for disease detection, diagnosis, prognosis, risk prediction, patient stratification, treatment response prediction, and clinical decision support. Contributions focusing on medical imaging, physiological signal analysis, digital pathology, multimodal data integration, explainable and trustworthy AI, federated learning, and generative AI are particularly encouraged. Studies demonstrating the translation of AI techniques into real-world clinical practice, with an emphasis on improving patient outcomes and personalized medicine, are especially welcome. This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, clinicians, and data scientists to present cutting-edge developments that advance the integration of AI and machine learning into precision medicine.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Biomedicines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
