Viral Diseases and Immune Mechanisms in Animals
This special issue belongs to the section “Veterinary Clinical Studies“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Special Issue, "Viral Diseases and Immune Mechanisms in Animals", aims to address the significant impact of veterinary viruses on livestock, domestic animals and wildlife. It focuses on advancing the understanding of viral pathogenesis, immune responses—both innate and adaptive—and epidemiological patterns. The scope includes studies on immune evasion strategies employed by viruses and host–pathogen interactions. Special emphasis is placed on viruses with zoonotic potential, such as SARS-CoV-2 and avian influenza viruses, as well as species-specific pathogens like Newcastle disease virus,African swine fever virus and foot-and-mouth disease virus. This Issue invites original research and reviews that contribute to improved disease control and prevention strategies in animal health.
