Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Human–animal relationships have undergone a profound transformation over recent decades, especially regarding companion animals, who now hold an increasingly central place in our homes and lives.
This Special Issue aims to explore humane, evidence-based approaches to behavioral care that respect both the emotional and cognitive needs of animals. As science continues to shed light on animal emotions, cognition, and social behaviors, it becomes crucial to adapt our practices—clinical, educational, and ethical—to support their well-being.
We welcome contributions that address practical tools for behavioral management, interdisciplinary approaches (veterinary, ethological, psychological), and the ethical implications of human interventions in companion animal behavior.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
