Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Testicular dysfunction encompasses a range of congenital or acquired conditions that affect the gonads and the accessory glands. Depending on the severity of the condition, testis development could be altered in its histological and anatomical arrangement, with effects on fertility, hormone secretion, and male reproductive physiology. The most common abnormalities include cryptorchidism, lithiasis, and testicular torsion, while the rarest include testicular ectopia.

The aim of this Special Issue is to showcase new therapeutic approaches and innovative research, thereby promoting the dissemination of scientific evidence and specific diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Studies that take into account the potential contribution of comorbidities will be particularly appreciated, considering the relationship between age, animal geriatric syndromes, metabolic diseases, obesity, and sexually transmitted infections.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, reproductive endocrinology, seminology, and pathologies of the prostate, testis, scrotum, penis, and foreskin.
