The mission of the “Neuropharmacology and Neuropathology” Section of Brain Sciences (ISSN: 2076-3425), is to present studies relating to the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, nerves) and how drugs affect neurological function, behavior, and disease. This includes explorations of mechanisms such as neurotransmitter interactions and target receptors, enzymes, and ion channels to understand treatment effects and potential side effects, as well as reporting on analyses of tissue samples from biopsies or autopsies to diagnose diseases such as tumors, neurodegenerative diseases, infections, and developmental disorders, guiding patient care and advancing research.
