Aims (old version):

The Journal of the Oman Medical Association (ISSN 2813-8759) is an international, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal of healthcare, clinical medicine, and other scientific areas related to medicine and surgery. The journal is owned by the Oman Medical Association (OMA) and this journal will be published, preserved, archived, and distributed with no fees charged from either the authors or the readers (diamond open access). Every reader will have permanent free access to the scientific works published. The article processing charge (APC) will be covered by the Association itself.

The aim of the Journal of the Oman Medical Association is to publish original medical and surgical research, new clinical practices as well as research and innovation in medical education, risk management in healthcare, patient safety, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications in medical, surgical and healthcare research. It will also feature research reviews, preliminary studies, and case reports. All the articles/studies are peer-reviewed by our multi-disciplinary editorial board and by reviewers, comprising experts from different specialties in medicine and surgery, who also have extensive research and publishing experience. The journal will provide an international academic and scientific platform to actively promote and encourage research in all major disciplines of medicine and surgery. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.
