Empowering Academic Growth with MDPI Academic Publishing Workshop at Khon Kaen University, 29 August 2025, Bangkok, Thailand
We are pleased to announce the inaugural academic publishing workshop, jointly hosted by MDPI’s Veterinary Sciences (ISSN: 2306-7381) and Khon Kaen University, representing a landmark collaboration between our two institutions. This event not only signifies a mutual dedication to advancing veterinary research but also lays the foundation for a long-term partnership aimed at supporting and empowering scholars in Thailand and the broader international academic community.
Through a series of interactive sessions, participants will gain expertise in innovative peer review practices, enhance their skills in crafting high-impact manuscripts, and have the opportunity to engage directly with journal editors. Specifically tailored for early career researchers, this workshop is designed to serve as a platform for enhancing academic visibility and building sustainable international research collaborations. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panupon Hongpakdee is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panupon Hongpakdee is a plant physiologist specializing in floriculture and smart farming innovations. He earned his PhD in horticulture from Chiang Mai University and currently serves as the Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and International Affairs at Khon Kaen University. His research focuses on flower production under controlled environments, LED lighting, plant hormones, and sacred lotus physiology. He has published extensively in international journals and has led several collaborative research projects with both the public and private sectors. A recipient of multiple research and teaching awards, he is also active in academic services, curriculum development, and international affairs. |

Ms. Ploy Assavajamroon obtained her master’s degree in chemistry from Thammasat University in 2020 and joined MDPI as an Assistant Editor for the journal Crystals in the same year. She became a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and a Group Leader in 2022. She is currently one of MDPI's Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region. |

Dr. Krit Inthajak obtained his PhD in engineering and technology from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University. He joined MDPI in March 2020 as an Assistant Editor for Molecules. He was appointed as a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and worked as a Group Leader from 2021 to 2024. He is now one of MDPI's Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region. |

Ms. Hathaipat Kittirojana obtained her master’s degree in food science and biotechnology from Teesside University. She joined MDPI in December 2020 as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Imaging. She was appointed as a Section Managing Editor in March 2023 and a Regional Journal Relations Specialist for the Asia–Pacific region in July 2024. |

Dr. Siriporn Tantiwatcharothai obtained her PhD in applied chemistry from the Faculty of Science, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, Ladkrabang. She joined MDPI in December 2022 as an Assistant Editor for Catalysts. In 2024, she was promoted to Section Managing Editor, and as of April 2025, she is serving as the Chief Section Managing Editor. |
