Surgeries | New Section “Hand Surgery and Research” Established

A Feature Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

The editorial team of Surgeries (ISSN: 2673-4095) is pleased to announce the launch of a new Section, entitled “Hand Surgery and Research”.
This Section serves as a premier platform for the dissemination of advanced scientific knowledge and innovative clinical practices in the field of hand surgery. We are dedicated to promoting innovation, fostering high-quality research, and advancing clinical excellence across all disciplines involved in the care and rehabilitation of hand conditions.
This Section welcomes submissions from orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, rehabilitation specialists, biomedical researchers, and students. Our goal is to facilitate cross-disciplinary dialogue and collaboration to improve patient outcomes and the quality of life for individuals affected by hand injuries and disorders.
We publish a broad spectrum of contributions, including original research articles, systematic reviews, case reports, technical notes, and clinical studies. All manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review to ensure the highest standards of scientific and editorial quality, with a commitment to timely and ethical publication.
In collaboration with key professional bodies such as the Italian Society for Surgery of the Hand (Società Italiana di Chirurgia della Mano—SICM), this Section aims to reflect the most up-to-date standards and innovations shaping the discipline, while fostering international and interdisciplinary exchange.
