Spring School for young researchers will take place from 18 to 23 May 2025 in Liverpool, UK. This international Spring School is targeted at young researchers (Ph.D. students and researchers, academics, or practitioners within 5 years of Ph.D. graduation) working on current actuarial science topics. This new edition aims to foster ideas on the societal impacts of actuarial research.
The climate crisis, social inequalities, increased life expectancy, and artificial intelligence are just some of the challenges facing our societies today. These challenges are constantly multiplying. To meet them, an understanding of the risks surrounding us and their implications is essential. Innovative solutions are needed to improve the management of such risks. This is why the 2025 edition of PARTY encourages research aiming to better manage some of these important risks societies are facing today.
Young researchers across various disciplines, such as actuarial science, demography, insurance, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, biology, and economics, are encouraged to participate, present, and freely discuss the most relevant questions in their specific fields. Experts invited from academia and practice will be available for feedback and will provide opening and closing remarks.
We are pleased to announce that Risks (ISSN: 2227-9091) has entered into a collaboration with PARTY 2025 to support and promote the work of young researchers in the field of actuarial science. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to fostering the next generation of actuarial professionals and advancing innovative research in the discipline.
