We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Adnan Ibrahimbegovic has been appointed as the Associate Editor of Computation (ISSN: 2079-3197). With an extensive background in scientific research and publishing, he will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role.
Prof. Dr. Adnan Ibrahimbegovic is a Professor Classe Exceptionnelle; a Senior Member of the IUF—Institut Universitaire France; a Chair for Computational Mechanics at the University of Technology Compiègne—Alliance Sorbonne Université; and a member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of BH and of the Academy of Europe. He obtained his engineering education in Sarajevo, obtained his Ph.D. at the University of California Berkeley (USA), and his Habilitation at University Pierre Marie Curie in Paris, France. He has held professorships and research positions at five different universities in four countries (including UC Berkeley, USA; EPFL, Switzerland; ENS-Paris-Saclay and UTC-Alliance Sorbonne University, France; and University of Sarajevo, BH). He has received a number of international distinctions, including the IACM Fellow Award; the Humboldt Research Award for Germany; the Research Award for Slovenia; the International Fellow NSERC Award for Canada; the ‘Claude Levy-Strauss’ Chair for Univ. Sao Paulo, Brazil; the ‘Asgard’ Chair for NTNU, Norway; the KAIST Professor, South Korea; and the ‘Hôte Académique’ Award for EPFL, Switzerland. He has published more than 250 papers in scientific journals, over 400 conference papers, and 10 graduate textbooks.
