Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors claimed in the abstract that "The objective of this study is to identify, in the scientific evidence, the effects of Wii games on the physical training of the elderly".

Indeed the paper describes the protocol for systematic review, in order to identify the effectiveness of Wii games in the physical training of the elderly.

However, only the search strategy is presented in this manuscript. In my opinion, the content of the manuscript retrieved according to the method presented here should be included.

Author Response

Thanks for the comment.

As reviewer 1 mentions, this study aims "to identify, in the scientific evidence, the effects of Wii games on the physical training of the elderly". However, this is a protocol, so we have presented the research strategy to demonstrate the process and clearly defined inclusion criteria adjusted to a systematic review according to a valid and rigorous methodology (JBI). The content related to the effectiveness review is the next step, to be submitted in the final article.

Reviewer 2 Report

In this review protocol authors have summarized what will be the objectives, methods and hypotheses with respect to the systematic review they want to carry out.

Being a protocol, some analyzes that I usually produce in my activity as a reviewer are not applicable. I think the authors have clarified many points of the systematic review but I have a few questions.

1. Will the revision they intend to do also be recorded on PROSPERO?

2. I did not find anything in the protocol addressing the issue of BIAS risk assessment. I suggest authors implement this part by describing how they intend to analyze the risk of BIAS.

3. I have not found specific references regarding the type of analysis that will be carried out, is a meta-analysis also foreseen?

I request that you clarify these points before consenting to publication.

Best Regards

Author Response

Thanks for the comment.

  1. Will the revision they intend to do also be recorded on PROSPERO?

The guidelines state that it is convenient for the protocol to be registered, we opted for the OSF, and for its publication in greater detail through the present manuscript.

  1. I did not find anything in the protocol addressing the issue of BIAS risk assessment. I suggest authors implement this part by describing how they intend to analyze the risk of BIAS.
