the article is well-structured but I observed some criticisms:

- the discussion is very extensive and should be shortened so as to highlight key aspects and make it easier to read

- the tables are comprehensive but too long-winded; I would make them much more schematic and concise 

- table 3 can be included as a supplementary file

I would Like to congratulate the authors for exceptional manuscript and very well conducted study. I believe the references are up to date, figures and tables are great and this study will add to the body of literature in the field of melasma.
