Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors proposed a course to improve Green Technology Awareness among postgraduate STEM students at the Faculty of Education, Minia University.

In the introduction, the authors substantiate the importance of sustainable development, green technologies, and digital green learning.

In the section Theoretical Background of the Study, the authors describe the features of cloud platforms in the context of green technologies. The authors also described mechanisms for applying green technology in educational institutions and the details of the Digital Green Education.

In the section Methodology, the authors described the composition of the proposed course to improve Green Technology Awareness and also presented details of the assessment of students' knowledge in this topic.

In the section Results, the authors presented the results that confirm the effectiveness of the course proposed by the authors.

The study looks interesting.

However, I can highlight the following major problems:

1. The article says that cloud systems can reduce the impact on the environment by using electricity efficiently, reducing the carbon footprint, etc. However, the increasing demand for cloud computing providers' resources increases the energy costs of data centers, which has a negative impact on the environment. See

https://gfmag.com/economics-policy-regulation/microsoft-three-mile-island-nuclear-power-ai-demand/

The authors need to discuss this issue.

2. Several groups of students are usually required to assess the assimilation of a course by students: a target group and a control group. See

https://www.betterevaluation.org/methods-approaches/methods/control-group

https://www.educationalneuroscience.org.uk/metasense/whats-a-control-group-why-do-i-need-one/

Did the authors involve a control group of students?

3. I suggest the authors provide an example of the materials they offered as part of the Green Technology Awareness course.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The paper presents how the use of Microsoft Azure applications in AI-based cloud network management enhances postgraduate students' awareness of green technologies. The presented study shows the statistical findings, but it is necessary to clarify in the Discussion section what it means for the overall educational settings. Figure 6 is generated by using the AI tools. It is necessary to draw it again, since it is written "COLABRATIVE," instead of "COLABORATIVE," as well as many other words in the figure.

It is necessary to explain the reason why the Microsoft Azure platform is used. Is it different from the other platforms? It is necessary to perform a comparative analysis of the platforms.

The supplementary file is not written in English. It is necessary to change it.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The research addresses contemporary issues such as cloud network management with AI and awareness of green technology, important topics for sustainability and education. The application of Kuhlmann's instructional design model and the ADDIE model is well described, providing a clear understanding of the research development process. The integration of the Azure AI platform for cloud management demonstrates a practical application of the research, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Suggestions to improve the quality of the manuscript:

1. The sample size is small (60 students), which may limit the generalization of the results. Therefore, include more participants from different institutional contexts to increase the representativeness of the results.

2. Despite promising results, the discussion lacks a deeper analysis of the limitations of the practical implementation of the proposed model in different contexts.

3. The study could include comparisons with other platforms or methods to reinforce the superiority of Azure AI in promoting sustainability.

4. The writing presents formatting inconsistencies and, in some cases, uses complex sentences that could be simplified to improve clarity. Revise the text to eliminate ambiguities and improve fluidity.

5. The manuscript deals predominantly with distance education and its digital tools, but could enrich its approach by including a more detailed analysis of the relationship between distance education and in-person education. This would not only strengthen the academic argument, but also increase the relevance of the study for institutions that operate in hybrid or in-person models.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors have partially responded to the suggestions, but some could be improved:
1) Although the justification for choosing a small and homogeneous sample is valid, the criticism about the lack of generalizability is not directly addressed. It could be acknowledged that, although the sample is adequate for internal purposes, a future expansion could increase the applicability of the results in other contexts.
2) The criticism calls for a "deeper analysis" of the limitations, and the response remains at a relatively superficial level. It could address, for example, the costs associated with these suggestions, institutional or cultural resistance to the adoption of new technologies, and the disparity in access in different countries or regions.
3) The comparative analysis is superficial and lacks concrete data or examples that demonstrate the superiority of Azure in specific scenarios. It could include metrics such as costs, performance in previous studies, or data on environmental impact.
4) Some references used are relatively old, which may weaken the update of the theoretical basis. Incorporate more recent studies that complement the scope of the research, especially with regard to the application of green technology.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

To enhance the academic quality of the text, it is recommended to improve cohesion through smoother transitions, eliminate redundancies, adopt a balanced tone by addressing limitations alongside strengths, standardize the formatting of lists, incorporate concrete examples and supporting data, ensure consistent and accessible technical language, expand discussions on hybrid and in-person education, conclude sections with clear summaries, and suggest future research directions to address unresolved challenges and long-term impacts.
