Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

In this manuscript, authors proposed a UAV-based binocular stereo vision algorithm to measure the dimensions of a truck’s outer contours.

This manuscript is very well written. Methodology is robust and results are convincing. Just a few minor issues should be addressed.

L77: Fig.1 is not a “schematic diagram”. It should appear in the “Method” section.

Does luminance affect the measurement results?

L371: It could be observed some point clouds are missing. Please clarify this issue.

Reviewer 2 Report

1. In the abstract, line 10 is unclear and needs to be clarified. This is what the authors want to say in their paper. It must be a clear problem that needs to be addressed.

2. There is no clear indication of the percentage of experimental results in the abstract. I would like to know how you arrived at this percentage and how you came to your conclusion.

3. In the abstract, line 19 is not clear to me. In future work, you might want to consider using your approach in this way.

4. As a result, most of the keywords do not match, such as over-limit detection

5. There is a lot of literature about 3D models, but I haven't found any literature about the algorithm that I could find. It would be helpful if you could provide the latest literature regarding the algorithm that is used in the paper

6. As you can see in Figure 2, the introduction does not match the figure. I would appreciate it if you could include the method with an explanation.

7.  There is no need to explain ZED2 in detail, it is by default even present in table 1 by default

8. In order to understand the algorithm, the flowchart should be included in the method where it can be understood by the reviewer.

9. Despite the fact that Algorithm 1 and Algorithm 2 are there, they are not mentioned where they are used.

10. In the results section, you need to put the results of the implementation, not the UAN plate form.

11. In order to get the results using UAN, it must be clear how the results will be obtained

12.  I am not sure if Fig.9 is related to implementation results, so I will need to provide them

13. I found the Table 2 about Test error estimation, but I did not find the test results in the table.

14. In order for the test results to be statistically significant, there must be a statistical conclusion based on them
