Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

  • The research on bees is one of the interesting topics done at all level of education, formal or informally. There are various strategies, methods, or models used by previous scholars (please check: How stingless bees can be used as educational tools in primary schools; Attitudes of university students of biology towards bees and their protection; The honey bees game: engaging and inspiring the community with STEM; Design of a Socioscientific Issue Unit with the Use of Modeling: The Case of Bees, etc.).
  • The authors are suggested to add some relevant research to enrich the argumentation in the discussion, as well as strengthen the gap analysis in  the introduction.
  • The project-based learning is a very wide adopted method at science learning, you may check and add some references on the systematic review or meta-analysis papers which discuss the positive impact or factors should be considered to make PBL successfully run.
  • Some part of paragraphs have not been cited in an appropriate way (check the similarity result-file attached)
  • Qualitative data should be coded and interpreted adequately to support the evidence of research problem or aims of the research
  • In the method, the ways to select the control and experimental groups should be clarified. The homogeniety of both groups should be confirmed before the treatment
  • The control groups was taught with the standard method. What does the standard method mean, and how did the students in this group learn about bees?
  • Check the references and citation carefully
