The paper studies periodic and aperiodic power spectral components of electro- and magneto-encephalograms via Markov chain modelling.

The paper is well structured and could be published with minor remarks

Minor remarks:

The Norm symbol (ǁ ǁ ) is not appropriate to symbolize matrices and confuses the reader. Matrices are symbolized with capital letters in Bold. The authors must correct the symbols for the defined matrices in the text.

Page 1, Line  2: “correlated in” should be “correlated with”

Page 1, Line  12: The right parenthesis in the end of the line should be deleted

Page 2, Line  65: “analitycal” should be “analytic”
