This paper is well organized and written. The authors state that their main contribution is the expansion of the scope out of the exploited area by analyzing the integration of the relief restoration model with its surrounding relief, and I think maybe it will be much closer to that before extractive activities if it could be considered during the production of relief restoration model DEM(r).  A minor possible problem is that in Figure 4, it seems that new points in B) may be 37, while the number of points on the contour of gravel pit seems to be 65, please confirm that.

Thanks for this comment. We realized that there was a misunderstanding describing the point data. To clarify, the first model was made based on 67 points and another 35 points were added for the final model (102 points). We have modified Figure 4 and the text accordingly.
