From Circular Economy to Entrepreneurial Solutions for Sustainable Territories
Topic Information
Dear Colleagues,
Regions around the world are facing growing challenges from climate change, economic shifts, moving populations, and complex governance. Thereby, to achieve sustainable development, we need integrated approaches that link circular economy ideas, innovation, and entrepreneurship with effective territorial governance.
This Topic invites interdisciplinary research on how circular economy strategies, new practices, and entrepreneurship can help build resilient, inclusive, and sustainable regions. We are especially interested in place-based approaches, different levels of governance, regional and city planning, and policies that support the shift from linear to circular and regenerative systems.
This collection welcomes theoretical, empirical, and methodological work on sustainable changes in urban, rural, peripheral, and cross-border areas. We especially encourage studies on policy design, governance, digital and social innovation, green entrepreneurship, and regional development strategies. Thus, by fostering dialogue among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, this Topic aims to advance knowledge and develop practical solutions for sustainable regions.
