Despite notable advancements in smart home technologies, residential energy management continues to face critical challenges. These include the complex integration of intermittent renewable energy sources, issues related to data latency, interoperability, and standardization across diverse systems, the inflexibility of centralized control architectures in dynamic environments, and the difficulty of accurately modeling and influencing occupant behavior. To address these challenges, this study proposes an intelligent multi-agent system designed to accurately estimate and control energy consumption in residential buildings, with the overarching objective of optimizing energy usage while maintaining occupant comfort and satisfaction. The methodological approach employed is a hybrid framework, integrating multi-agent system architecture with system dynamics modeling and agent-based modeling. This integration enables decentralized and intelligent control while simultaneously simulating physical processes such as heat exchange, insulation performance, and energy consumption, alongside behavioral interactions and real-time adaptive responses. The system is tested under varying conditions, including changes in building insulation quality and external temperature profiles, to assess its capability for accurate control and estimation of energy use. The proposed tool offers significant added value by supporting real-time responsiveness, behavioral adaptability, and decentralized coordination. It serves as a risk-free simulation platform to test energy-saving strategies, evaluate cost-effective insulation configurations, and fine-tune thermostat settings without incurring additional cost or real-world disruption. The high fidelity and predictive accuracy of the system have important implications for policymakers, building designers, and homeowners, offering a practical foundation for informed decision making and the promotion of sustainable residential energy practices. In response to the challenges of urbanization, digitalization, and the e-commerce surge intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic, Smart Urban Logistics (SUL) has become a key framework for addressing last-mile delivery issues, congestion, and environmental impacts. This study introduces a System Dynamics (SD)-based approach to investigate how urban logistics and access management policies may interact. At the center, there is a Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) that illustrates dynamic interdependencies among fleet composition, access regulations, logistics productivity, and environmental externalities. The CLD is a conceptual basis for future stock-and-flow simulations to support data-driven decision-making. The approach highlights the importance of route optimization, dynamic access control, and smart parking management systems as strategic tools, increasingly enabled by Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, big data analytics, AI, and cyber-physical systems, which support real-time monitoring and adaptive planning. In alignment with the Industry 5.0 paradigm, this technological integration is paired with social and environmental sustainability goals. The study also emphasizes public–private collaboration in designing access policies and promoting alternative fuel vehicle adoption, supported by specific incentives. These coordinated efforts contribute to achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda, fostering a cleaner, more efficient, and inclusive urban logistics ecosystem. Full article

The combined application of Load Frequency Control (LFC) and Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), known as Automatic Generation Control (AGC), manages active and reactive power to ensure system stability. This study presents a novel hybrid controller with a (1+PDD2)-(1+TI) structure, optimized using the Mirage Search Optimization (MSO) algorithm. Designed for dual-area power systems, the controller enhances both LFC and AVR by coordinating voltage and frequency loops. MSO was chosen after outperforming five algorithms (ChOA, DOA, PSO, GTO, and GBO), achieving the lowest fitness value (ITSE = 0.028). The controller was tested under various challenging conditions: sudden load disturbances, stochastic variations, nonlinearities like Generation Rate Constraints (GRC) and Governor Dead Band (GDB), time-varying reference voltages, and ±20% to ±40% parameter deviations. Across all scenarios, the (1+PDD2)-(1+TI) controller consistently outperformed MSO-tuned TID, FOPID, FOPI-PIDD2, (1+PD)-PID, and conventional PID controllers. It demonstrated superior performance in regulating frequency, tie-line power, and voltage, achieving approximately a 50% improvement in dynamic response. MATLAB/SIMULINK results confirm its effectiveness in enhancing overall system stability. Full article

In the context of global e-commerce platform supply chains dominated by Alibaba and Amazon, power reconfiguration among tripartite stakeholders (platforms, manufacturers, and retailers) remains a critical yet underexplored issue in supply chain contract design. To analyze the strategic interactions between platforms, manufacturers, and retailers, as well as how platforms select the contract format within a tripartite supply chain, this study proposes a Stackelberg game-theoretic framework incorporating participation constraints to compare fixed-fee and revenue-sharing contracts. The results demonstrate that revenue-sharing contracts significantly enhance supply chain efficiency by aligning incentives across members, leading to improved pricing and sales outcomes. However, this coordination benefit comes with reduced platform dominance, as revenue-sharing inherently redistributes power toward upstream and downstream partners. The analysis reveals a nuanced contract selection framework: given the revenue sharing rate, as the additional value increases, the optimal contract shifts from the mode RR to the mode RF, and ultimately to the mode FF. Notably, manufacturers and retailers exhibit a consistent preference for revenue-sharing contracts due to their favorable profit alignment properties, regardless of the platform’s value proposition. These findings may contribute to platform operations theory by (1) proposing a dynamic participation framework for contract analysis, (2) exploring value-based thresholds for contract transitions, and (3) examining the power-balancing effects of alternative contract formats. This study offers actionable insights for platform operators seeking to balance control and cooperation in their supply chain relationships, while providing manufacturers and retailers with strategic guidance for contract negotiations in platform-mediated markets. These findings are especially relevant for large e-commerce platforms and their partners managing the complexities of contemporary digital supply chains. Full article

Under the “dual carbon” goals, the low-carbon economic dispatch of integrated energy systems (IES) faces multiple challenges, including suboptimal economic efficiency, excessive carbon emissions, and limited renewable energy integration. While traditional green certificate trading (GCT) enhances renewable energy adoption, its emission reduction effect remains inadequate. Conversely, standalone carbon emission trading (CET) effectively curbs emissions but often at the expense of increased operational costs, making it difficult to achieve both economic and environmental objectives simultaneously. To address these limitations, this study proposes an innovative green certificate trading–tiered carbon emission trading (GCT–CET) synergistic mechanism integrated with demand-side flexible load optimization, developing a low-carbon dispatch model designed to minimize total system costs. Simulation experiments conducted with the CPLEX solver demonstrate that, compared to individual GCT or CET implementations, the proposed coordinated mechanism effectively combines renewable energy incentives (through GCT) with stringent emission control (via stepped CET), resulting in a 47.8% reduction in carbon emissions and a 5.4% decrease in total costs. Furthermore, the participation of flexible loads enhances supply–demand balancing, presenting a transformative solution for achieving high-efficiency and low-carbon operation in IES. Full article

In the context of the intensifying global climate crisis, the power industry, as a significant carbon emitter, urgently needs to promote low-carbon transformation using market mechanisms. In this paper, a multi-objective stochastic optimization scheduling framework for regional power grids integrating carbon trading (CET) and green certificate trading (GCT) is proposed to coordinate the conflict between economic benefits and environmental objectives. By building a deterministic optimization model, the goal of maximizing power generation profit and minimizing carbon emissions is combined in a weighted form, and the power balance, carbon quota constraint, and the proportion of renewable energy are introduced. To deal with the uncertainty of power demand, carbon baseline, and the green certificate ratio, Monte Carlo simulation was further used to generate random parameter scenarios, and the CPLEX solver was used to optimize scheduling schemes iteratively. The simulation results show that when the proportion of green certificates increases from 0.35 to 0.45, the proportion of renewable energy generation increases by 4%, the output of coal power decreases by 12–15%, and the carbon emission decreases by 3–4.5%. At the same time, the tightening of carbon quotas (coefficient increased from 0.78 to 0.84) promoted the output of gas units to increase by 70 MWh, verifying the synergistic emission reduction effect of the “total control + market incentive” policy. Economic–environmental tradeoff analysis shows that high-cost inputs are positively correlated with the proportion of renewable energy, and carbon emissions are significantly negatively correlated with the proportion of green certificates (correlation coefficient −0.79). This study emphasizes that dynamic adjustments of carbon quota and green certificate targets can avoid diminishing marginal emission reduction efficiency, while the independent carbon price mechanism needs to enhance its linkage with economic targets through policy design. This framework provides theoretical support and a practical path for decision-makers to design a flexible market mechanism and build a multi-energy complementary system of “coal power base load protection, gas peak regulation, and renewable energy supplement”. As major countries around the world have successively proposed the construction goal of “Beautiful National Land Space”, how to effectively integrate urban design with spatial control in specific geographical environments and use urban design to achieve efficient spatial control has become a new research trend. The process of planning the national territory is constrained by the legal framework, involving multiple planning stages and multiple stakeholders. In an ideal state, these planning stages and stakeholders should coordinate with each other, but during the actual implementation of the plan, these factors are often not coordinated enough, making it difficult for the plan to play a role. In this study, Mile City in Yunnan Province, a representative city in the unique intermontane basin area of Southwestern China, was used as a case to explore how to use urban design methods in territorial spatial planning to achieve more efficient spatial control. This study provides scientific support for establishing an indicator control system for urban design methods by combining multiple data collection methods such as text analysis, image analysis, and interview methods. The distinctive features of Mile City have been further enhanced by optimizing its spatial layout through urban design, and it has been scientifically integrated into the territorial spatial planning system. The results indicate that the successful implementation of urban design highly relies on the reform willingness of local governments, clear control frameworks, and the coordinated integration of regional ecological resources and landscape features. This study proposed a set of urban design control methods suitable for intermontane basin-type cities and formed a comprehensive control framework including city, town, and landscape. In addition, it will provide methodological support and references for improving the scientific management of “Beautiful Land” in the special geographical environment of Southwest China. Full article

Background and Clinical Significance: Prosthetic rehabilitation in the aesthetic zone of periodontally compromised patients presents a complex clinical challenge, requiring a careful coordination of aesthetic, functional, and biological demands. This case highlights the benefits of digital dentistry, interdisciplinary collaboration, and regular maintenance in achieving long-term success in complex rehabilitations of periodontally compromised patients. Case Presentation: This case report describes the digital minimally invasive rehabilitation of a 39-year-old male patient with Stage III periodontitis, occlusal discrepancies, tooth mobility, and an interincisal diastema. A fully digital workflow—including intraoral scanning, aesthetic previewing, and mandibular motion analysis—was employed to guide diagnosis, treatment planning, and prosthetic execution. Conservative tooth preparations using a biologically oriented approach (BOPT) were combined with customised provisional restorations to support soft tissue conditioning and functional control throughout the provisional phases. Mandibular motion tracking facilitated the design of a personalised anterior guidance to improve occlusion and correct the deep bite. The interincisal diastema was initially maintained then closed during the advanced phase of treatment based on aesthetic simulations and patient preference. One unplanned endodontic treatment was required during the provisional phase, but no other complications occurred. Conclusions: At the four-year follow-up, the patient demonstrated stable periodontal and occlusal conditions, improved clinical indices, and high satisfaction with the aesthetic outcome. Full article

For power electronic interfaces, Direct Power Control (DPC) has emerged as a leading control technique, especially in applications such as synchronous motors, induction motors, and other electric drives; renewable energy sources (such as photovoltaic inverters and wind turbines); and converters that are grid-connected, such as Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) and Static Compensator (STATCOM) configurations. DPC accomplishes several significant goals by avoiding the inner current control loops and doing away with coordinating transformations. The application of STATCOM based on three- and five-level diode-clamped inverters is covered in this work. The study checks the abilities of DPC during power control adjustments during diverse grid operation scenarios while detailing how multilevel inverters affect system stability and power reliability. Proportional Integral (PI) controllers are used to control active and reactive power levels as part of the control approach. This study shows that combining DPC with Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) increases the system’s overall electromagnetic performance and control accuracy. The performance of STATCOM systems in power distribution and transient response under realistic operating conditions is assessed using simulation tools applied to three-level and five-level inverter topologies. In addition to providing improved voltage quality and accurate reactive power control, the five-level inverter structure surpasses other topologies by maintaining a total harmonic distortion (THD) below 5%, according to the main findings. The three-level inverter operates efficiently under typical grid conditions because of its straightforward design, which uses less processing power and computational complexity. Full article

This study introduces a stochastic optimization framework designed to effectively manage power flows in flexible medium-voltage DC (MVDC) link systems within distribution networks (DNs). The proposed approach operates in coordination with a battery energy storage system (BESS) to enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of the power distribution. Given the inherent uncertain characteristics associated with forecasting errors in photovoltaic (PV) generation and load demand, the study employs a distributionally robust chance-constrained optimization technique to mitigate the potential operational risks. To achieve a cooperative and optimized control strategy for MVDC link systems and BESS, the proposed method incorporates a stochastic relaxation of the reliability constraints on bus voltages. By strategically adjusting the conservativeness of these constraints, the proposed framework seeks to maximize the cost-effectiveness of DN operations. The numerical simulations demonstrate that relaxing the strict reliability constraints enables the distribution system operator to optimize the electricity imports more economically, thereby improving the overall financial performance while maintaining system reliability. Through case studies, we showed that the proposed method improves the operational cost by up to 44.7% while maintaining 96.83% bus voltage reliability under PV and load power output uncertainty. This study investigated the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in elite youth soccer players using a novel multidomain correlational mapping approach. A four-week HIIT intervention was applied in a randomized controlled design, with physiological, cognitive, and neuromuscular data collected through laboratory, field-based, and biochemical tests. Metrics such as VO2max, BDNF levels, lactate dynamics, and cognitive load were analyzed across time points and groups. HIIT elicited statistically significant improvements in aerobic capacity, buffering efficiency, and perceptual-cognitive function, with a notable emergence of cross-domain associations. Unlike the control group, HIIT participants showed strengthened correlations between metabolic, cognitive, and neuromuscular indices, such as lactate slope with exertion perception and BDNF response with cardiac recovery. Hierarchical clustering further revealed tightly integrated multidomain clusters in the HIIT group, absent in the controls, suggesting a reorganization of physiological networks. These findings support the concept that HIIT not only improves discrete capacities but fosters systemic adaptation through enhanced inter-domain coordination. These results align with emerging frameworks in network physiology and highlight the potential for using correlation structures as biomarkers of holistic training adaptation. This multidimensional perspective offers new insights into how targeted training reshapes performance-related systems and may inform individualized athletic programming. Full article

Driven by global climate change and sustainable development, the coordinated development of multiple industries based on photovoltaic energy in the “Desert-Gobi-Wilderness” region has become the key to achieving sustainable development, as well as transforming and upgrading the energy structure. However, the site selection decision for “Photovoltaic +” multi-industry integration, which takes into account economic, social and ecological benefits in a complex ecological environment, is still a key difficulty that restricts the feasibility and scalability of the project. This study first identified and systematically analyzed six “PV +” multi-industry integrations suitable for development in China, including “PV + sand control”, “PV + agriculture”, “PV + agriculture + tourism”, “PV + animal husbandry”, “PV + animal husbandry + tourism”, and “PV + tourism”. Then, a site selection decision framework for “PV +” multi-industry integration consists of three parts. Part 1 establishes a multi-dimensional suitability assessment system that takes into account heterogeneous data from multiple sources. Part 2 uses an integration method based on BWM-CRITIC-TODIM for priority ranking analysis, which first uses a Geographic Information System (GIS) to carry out suitability simulation for the entire region of China—identifying six alternative regions—then uses the interactive and multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method to prioritize the alternative areas. Part 3 carries out further sensitivity analyses, scenario analyses, and comparative analyses to verify the dynamics and scientific nature of the site selection decision framework. Finally, this study identifies regions of high suitability for development corresponding to the six multi-industry integrations. The framework is designed to help decision stakeholders achieve precise site selection and benefit optimization for “PV +” multi-industry integration and provides a replicable planning tool for achieving industrial synergy and sustainable development in the “Desert-Gobi-Wilderness” region driven by green energy. The scenario adaptability of agricultural machinery chassis in hilly and mountainous regions has become a key area of innovation in modern agricultural equipment development in China. Due to the fragmented nature of farmland, steep terrain (often exceeding 15°), complex topography, and limited suitability for mechanization, traditional agricultural machinery experiences significantly reduced operational efficiency—typically by 30% to 50%—along with poor mobility. These limitations impose serious constraints on grain yield stability and the advancement of agricultural modernization. Therefore, enhancing the scenario-adaptive performance of chassis systems (e.g., slope adaptability ≥ 25°, lateral tilt stability > 30°) is a major research priority for China’s agricultural equipment industry. This paper presents a systematic review of the global development status of agricultural machinery chassis tailored for hilly and mountainous environments. It focuses on three core subsystems—power systems, traveling systems, and leveling systems—and analyzes their technical characteristics, working principles, and scenario-specific adaptability. In alignment with China’s “Dual Carbon” strategy and the unique operational requirements of hilly–mountainous areas (such as high gradients, uneven terrain, and small field sizes), this study proposes three key technological directions for the development of intelligent agricultural machinery chassis: (1) Multi-mode traveling mechanism design: Aimed at improving terrain traversability (ground clearance ≥400 mm, obstacle-crossing height ≥ 250 mm) and traction stability (slip ratio < 15%) across diverse landscapes. (2) Coordinated control algorithm optimization: Designed to ensure stable torque output (fluctuation rate < ±10%) and maintain gradient operation efficiency (e.g., less than 15% efficiency loss on 25° slopes) through power–drive synergy while also optimizing energy management strategies. (3) Intelligent perception system integration: Facilitating high-precision adaptive leveling (accuracy ± 0.5°, response time < 3 s) and enabling terrain-adaptive mechanism optimization to enhance platform stability and operational safety. By establishing these performance benchmarks and focusing on critical technical priorities—including terrain-adaptive mechanism upgrades, energy-drive coordination, and precision leveling—this study provides a clear roadmap for the development of modular and intelligent chassis systems specifically designed for China’s hilly and mountainous regions, thereby addressing current bottlenecks in agricultural mechanization. Defect engineering has recently emerged as a cutting-edge discipline for precise modulation of electronic structures in nanomaterials, shifting the paradigm in nanoscience from passive ‘inherent defect tolerance’ to proactive ‘defect-controlled design’. The deliberate introduction of defect—including vacancies, dopants, and interfaces—breaks the rigid symmetry of crystalline lattices, enabling new pathways for optimizing catalysis performance. This review systematically summarizes the mechanisms underlying defect-mediated electronic structure at active sites regulation, including (1) reconstruction of the electronic density of states, (2) tuning of coordination microenvironments, (3) charge transfer and localization effects, (4) spin-state and magnetic coupling modulation, and (5) dynamic defect and interface engineering. These mechanisms elucidate how defect-induced electronic restructuring governs catalytic activity and selectivity. We further assess advanced characterization techniques and computational methodologies for probing defects-induced electronic states, offering deeper mechanistic insights at atomic scales. Finally, we highlight recent breakthroughs in defect-engineered nanomaterials for catalytic applications, including hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and beyond, while discussing existing challenges in scalability, defect stability, and structure–property causality. This review aims to provide actionable principles for the rational design of defects to tailor electronic structures toward next-generation energy technologies. Full article

Altitude test facilities for aero-engines employ multi-chamber, multi-valve intake systems that require effective decoupling and strong disturbance rejection during transient tests. This paper proposes a coordinated active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) scheme based on external penalty functions. The chamber pressure safety limit is formulated as an inequality-constrained optimization problem, and an exponential penalty together with a gradient based algorithm is designed for dynamic constraint relaxation, with guaranteed global convergence. A coordination term is then integrated into a distributed ADRC framework to yield a multi-valve coordinated ADRC controller, whose asymptotic stability is established via Lyapunov theory. Hardware-in-the-loop simulations using MATLAB/Simulink and a PLC demonstrate that, under ±3 kPa pressure constraints, the maximum engine inlet pressure error is 1.782 kPa (77.1% lower than PID control), and under an 80 kg/s2 flow-rate disturbance, valve oscillations decrease from ±27% to ±5%. These results confirm the superior disturbance rejection and decoupling performance of the proposed method. Full article
