Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Brucellosis is a febrile zoonotic disease caused by Brucella infection, with more than 500,000 new cases reported each year. Due to the lack of a human vaccine against brucellosis, animal vaccines have played an important role in the management of animal and human brucellosis for decades. However, the currently available vaccines have several shortcomings, such as low protection levels and safety, and interfere with serological diagnosis. In addition, Brucella has multiple species types and a complex antigenic profile, which increases the difficulty of vaccine development. Therefore, the development of a safe and effective brucellosis vaccine has great potential, which is of great importance for human social development and public health security.

Brucellosis is a zoonosis that causes abortion and sterility in livestock, greatly impacting human life and health and the development of livestock production. Vaccines are critical for the prevention and control of brucellosis, and the research and development of new brucellosis vaccines are thus of great significance to economic and social development and livestock production.

Scoping reviews and research articles will both be considered.
