Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The fields of veterinary analgesia and pain management are undergoing rapid and transformative development, reflecting a growing commitment to improving animal welfare across diverse species. This Special Issue aims to showcase the latest research and clinical innovations in these critical areas of veterinary medicine.
We invite the submission of original research articles and reviews that address recent advancements in analgesic and anaesthetic drugs, novel techniques for their administration, emerging pain assessment tools, and innovative strategies for multimodal analgesia. Manuscripts focusing on species-specific approaches—ranging from companion animals to livestock and exotic species—are particularly encouraged.
The content of this Special Issue will highlight the importance of personalised analgesia and pain management protocols, tailored to the unique physiological and behavioural needs of individual animals. Furthermore, it will explore the value of interdisciplinary collaboration in enhancing clinical outcomes and driving progress in veterinary practice.
By sharing state-of-the-art knowledge and clinical experience, this Special Issue seeks to support continued innovation and elevate standards of care for animals undergoing surgical and medical procedures.
We welcome your recent findings and perspectives to contribute to this important collection.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
