Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue on “Phylogeography of Infectious Diseases” aims to focus on the phenology and phylogenetic traits of infectious diseases (e.g., ecological and phylogenetic modeling, machine learning and geospatial informatics, system interactions, social science, genetic diversity, etc.) and their applications in improving surveillance, predictions, and control and identifying the transmission risk of emerging disease clusters in time and space. We encourage original research that highlights fundamental and operational questions in support of innovative and unconventional applications of conceptual, methodological, analytical, and administrative perspectives on tracking emerging infectious diseases. For example, developing new surveillance and analytical strategies for the early monitoring of epidemics integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques for disease surveillance, environmental risk indicators, and best practices in disease monitoring.
