Dear Colleagues,
The 20th International Conference on Information Security Practice and Experience (ISPEC 2025) will be held on 7–9 November 2025 in Chengdu, organized by University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China and IEEE Reliability Society. The ISPEC conference is an established forum that brings together researchers and practitioners to provide a confluence of new information security technologies, including their applications and their integration with IT systems in various vertical sectors. The main goal of the conference is to promote research on new information security technologies, including their applications and their integration with IT systems in various vertical sectors. In previous years, ISPEC has taken place in Singapore (2005), Hangzhou, China (2006), Hong Kong (2007), Sydney, Australia (2008), Xi'an, China (2009), Seoul, Korea (2010), Guangzhou, China (2011), Hangzhou, China (2012), Lanzhou, China (2013), Fuzhou, China (2014), Beijing, China (2015), Zhangjiajie, China (2016), Melbourne, Australia (2017), Tokyo, Japan (2018), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2019), Nanjing, China (2021) , Taiwan (2022), Copenhagen, Denmark (2023) and Wuhan, China (2024).
This Special Issue is closely aligned with the conference themes. A selection of high-quality submissions will be invited to submit extended versions for consideration in the Special Issue. Symmetry is indexed within Scopus, SCIE (Web of Science), CAPlus/SciFinder, Inspec, Astrophysics Data System, and other databases, and has an Impact Factor of 2.2 and a 5-Year Impact Factor of 2.3.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Symmetry is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
