Young Investigator Award
Dear readers of Symmetry,
We are pleased to announce that the winner of 2018 Symmetry Young Investigator Award is Dr. Diego Sáez-Chillón Gómez. Dr. Diego Sáez-Chillón Gómez is a senior postdoctoral fellow at the University of the Basque Country (Spain). Dr. Sáez Gómez’s works on several areas of theoretical physics, but mainly on the development and analysis of theories beyond General Relativity, particularly on those gravitational theories that may provide an alternative explanation to the dark energy problem and also to the inflationary paradigm. His research has led to relevant and novel results in the field of theoretical physics providing new insights. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Diego Sáez-Chillón Gómez for a well-deserved prize.
As the awardee, Dr. Sáez Gómez will receive an honorarium of 2000 CHF, an offer to publish a paper free of charge without a fixed deadline in Symmetry, and a certificate. We would like to thank all the Award Committee members for their assiduous evaluation of the candidates and all the applicants for submitting their fascinating and diverse range of research topics.
