Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Sustainability -as a controversial concept- did not reach credibility until it verified its applicability competencies. Its key thoughts related to assets conservation, resources consumption, limits of development, and controlling rhythms of change… etc., are reinterpreted as related to the application milieu and its detailed configurations. Cultural cities are a fertile domain for applying these understandings. However, their materiality/ immateriality blended typology increases the complexity and challenge and makes them rich enough to be cases for investigation.
This Special Issue entitled: ‘Cultural Cities: A Path towards Sustainability’ aims to publish high-quality research papers on sustainability-related practices in cultural cities. Within this context, papers focusing on the city’s dynamism, assets’ consumption, management policies and technologies, best practices for applying sustainability, managing cultural assets, and balancing pillars of sustainability in cultural contexts are highly welcomed.
