Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Great efforts have been made for compliance with the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals, driving a paradigm shift in global production processes and consumption patterns. Recent scientific and technological advancements further emphasize the need for a broad circular economy, transforming the way in which we manage products, processes, and services.

The transition to a circular economy is essential for mitigating global and local environmental impacts while minimizing natural resource consumption. Progress in energy and material recovery is fostering more sustainable industrial and societal systems through adopting alternative raw materials and energy sources.

This Special Issue will compile cutting-edge research on strategies, technologies, and policies that promote sustainability by integrating circular economy principles and exploring alternatives for energy and material recovery.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website.
