Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue aims to explore innovative perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches to advance sustainability in complex socio-ecological systems. The focus is on identifying practical, scalable strategies that address environmental, economic, and social challenges in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The scope includes empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, policy analyses, and case studies that offer insights into sustainable transitions at local, regional, and global levels.
The purpose of this Special Issue is to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to engage in a cross-sectoral dialogue, highlighting best practices and emerging trends in sustainability science. Contributions are expected to address issues such as climate adaptation, circular economy, sustainable governance, education for sustainability, and stakeholder engagement.
This Special Issue will complement the existing literature by integrating diverse disciplinary perspectives and offering a synthesis of novel approaches to sustainability. By building on and extending current research published in Sustainability and related journals, this Issue will contribute to a more holistic understanding of sustainability transitions and foster actionable knowledge for long-term resilience and development.
