Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
More than half of world’s population are living in cities and 75% are expected to live in cities by 2050. The applications of innovative technologies to urban development will help reshape the future of urban living, aligned with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) that focuses on making cities and human settlements inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
We are pleased to invite you to submit original research articles that attempt to exploit IoT technologies and innovative methods to make our cities smart, sustainable, and equitable. This Special Issue aims to provide an opportunity for researchers to present cutting-edge solutions that bridge the gap between emerging technological advancement and sustainable urban development.
In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but not limited to) the following:
- Big data analytics for IoT to support sustainable urban development.
- IoT-enabled smart infrastructure for transportation, healthcare, education, energy, waste, or/and water management.
- AI-powered optimisation of transportation, healthcare, energy, or waste facilities.
- Enhancing urban resilience or/and improving disaster management through emerging technological advancement.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
