Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The digital transformation is reshaping education by integrating innovative technologies that foster accessibility, flexibility, and environmental responsibility, shaped by a sense of responsibility. Through digital learning environments, distance learning platforms, and massive open online courses (MOOCs), students can overcome traditional physical and temporal barriers, accessing educational content anytime, anywhere. Emerging technologies such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI), and various digital tools provide educators and students with easier access to interactive, personalized, and dynamic learning environments. These tools not only enrich the learning experience but also help reduce costs by minimizing the need for physical resources and supporting environmentally friendly practices. Teachers and students can integrate the skills they acquire through digital environments into a sustainable educational environment with a focus on environmental integration, fostering awareness of this. This Special Issue aims to highlight effective and innovative approaches, such as AR, VR, AI, MOOCs, digital tools, and gamification, that promote sustainability in teaching and learning processes and to offer ideas on how technology can shape the future of education.
