World Standards Day—“Shared Vision for a Better World: Spotlight on SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals”, 14 October 2025

World Standards Day is internationally celebrated on October 14 each year. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of global standardization to the world economy, as well as promote its role in helping to meet the needs of businesses, industries, governments, and consumers worldwide. The 2025 theme is “Shared Vision for A Better World: Spotlight on SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals”. We would like to take this opportunity to honor the efforts of the experts who have developed voluntary standards within standards development and to share a list of notable articles published in Standards (ISSN: 2305-6703) covering the topics of sustainability standards, quality control, risk assessment, life cycle assessment, etc., which may be of interest.

Standards is an international scientific open access journal that publishes original papers, review articles, short notes, and communications related to standardization, inspection, verification, certification, testing, quality control, and rating.
