Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The emerging and spreading of a new Coronavirus provoked a global sanitary emergency. COVID-19 is a respiratory virus transmitted by saliva droplets. This implied the use of isolation and the first strategy to contain the infection. Health disciplines and hospital activities were temporarily stopped to limit the movement of people and prevent outbreaks in hospitals.

ENT and maxillofacial specialists are operators with a high risk of exposure, and therefore the after-covid19 period will represent an important change in the protocol of personal protections.

This Special Issue welcomes articles, letters, communications, and reviews on the implications of COVID-19 in these disciplines, as well as research on the virus colonization of the sinus mucosa.
