Launch of the Remote Sensing Handbook (Three Volume Set)

I am writing to you with great pleasure that the Remote Sensing Handbook (Three Volume Set) is now published!. In every way, you will find this handbook unique, creative, and a path breaking effort of 300+ leading remote sensing scientists of the world. Such excellent work was only possible due to terrific effort from authors, editors, publishers, printers, and many, many others. It is a huge effort and it is hard to believe it is finally here and well worth the effort.

Ultimately we have a comprehensive coverage of all remote sensing topics, written by the best in the field. The handbook comprises 82 Chapters, about 2200 pages, from 300+ authors, every page printed in color and bound in hard copy. I can easily say that the three volumes constitute what every remote sensing student; professor, scientist, and professional practitioners and experts would need as a constant reference.

Updated Impact Factor for Remote Sensing – 3.180

We are pleased to report the 2014 Impact Factor for Remote Sensing. According to the 2015 release of the Journal Citation Reports® Science Edition (published by Thomson Reuters in June 2015), the updated Impact Factor for Remote Sensing is 3.180. It has risen from 2.623 in the previous year (+21%), as illustrated in the figure below. The 5-Year Impact Factor is 3.257. Remote Sensing now ranks 5/28 (Q1) in the category ‘Remote Sensing’.
