Dr. Tony Ross-Hellauer appointed Editor-in-Chief of Publications

Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tony Ross-Hellauer has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of Publications (ISSN 2304-6775). Tony Ross-Hellauer is Senior Researcher at Know-Center GmbH, Austria’s leading research centre for data-driven business, big data analytics, and cognitive computing. He has a PhD in Information Studies (University of Glasgow, 2012), as well as MA (Philosophy) and MSc (Information and Library Studies) degrees. Tony is actively involved in Open Science advocacy and community-building, and a core member of Research Data Alliance Austria (Auditor) and Open Access Network Austria. He was formerly Scientific Manager for OpenAIRE, one of the world’s leading public infrastructures for Open Science, where he managed OpenAIRE’s outreach, scientific direction, and coordination of its pan-European network of National Open Access Desks (NOADs). Tony’s work on open peer review has received international recognition. His research interests include Open Science, new models and infrastructures for scholarly communications, science policy, alternative models for peer review, and the philosophy of technology.
